Redmi 12 Series has 2 mid range models named “Redmi 12 4G” and “Redmi 12 5G” which were launched with MIUI 14 out of the box. Now, these devices users are waiting for 1st major upgrade which is on the way with support of latest Android 14 from Google. Xiaomi is preparing the latest HyperOS updates in their specific regions and users will be too happy as it is going to receive its first major upgrade very soon.
Redmi 12 – HyperOS updates
Redmi 12 4G which was available with MIUI 14 in all regions, and Xiaomi is making the HyperOS updates on Android 14, so lets see the builds which are spotted. These are all internal builds, and for stable builds you have to wait for a month. Xiaomi has prepared the stable builds just now for Global, and for India and EEA regions and for others we can expect till February 2024.
Redmi 12 4G HyperOS builds on Android 14:-

- India: OS1.0.0.8.UMXINXM
Redmi 12 4G HyperOS stable update is finally prepared for the Global region but for EEA and India region update is under testing, so I suggest you to wait for the Global rollout which can be done in this month end. So finally HyperOS OS1.0.1.0 is on the way for Redmi 12 4G global variant.
Redmi 12 5G – HyperOS updates
Redmi 12 5G device was also launched with same OS as Redmi 12 4G, and for this device also Xiaomi is preparing the HyperOS updates and it is a good news for the Xiaomi Redmi 12 5G users. HyperOS builds appeared for EEA, India, Global and other regions.
Redmi Note 12R will receive the stable HyperOS update very soon based on Android 14. HyperOS 1.0.5.0.UMWCNXM stable update is ready in China which will bring multiple customizations and stable performance in the new system. We can expect this stable update in January month so I suggest you to wait for next month to see the rollout of this new update. For global regions, update is under preparing so lets see the latest internal builds for Global, EEA and India region which are spotted.
